WELCOME TO OUR VILLAGE WEBSITE!
Daglingworth is a charming village in the Cotswolds, located 3 miles north-west of Cirencester. It is situated in the Duntisbourne Valley, which derives its name from the river Dunt, meandering through parts of the village.
The name Daglingworth dates back to circa 1150. Translated literally, it means ‘enclosure of the family or adherents of Dæggel or Dæccel'. (Etymology of the noun 'worth' = enclosure: Old English, worþ (weorþ), wurþ, = Old Saxon wurđ; The Oxford English Dictionary).
